Officials strongly urge residents to get vaccinated for COVID-19 as soon as possible. Visit the Tulare County COVID-19 Vaccine webpage at: https://covid19.tularecounty.ca.gov/covid-19-vaccine/ for vaccination locations, including a full listing of health care providers and local pharmacies offering COVID-19 vaccinations. Tulare County COVID Call Center Offers FREE Scheduling and Assistance for Residents Seeking Appointments for the COVID Vaccine
As vaccination efforts ramp up throughout Tulare County, the Tulare County Health & Human Services Agency’s COVID Vaccine Call Center is available to help assist residents with securing vaccination appointments over the phone. The COVID Call Center is available to assist the elderly without internet and non-English–speaking residents in obtaining a vaccination for COVID-19; simply call (559) 685-2260.
“Our local COVID Vaccine Call Center is here to serve our residents and help them with navigating the at-times complicated process for securing a COVID vaccination appointment,” stated Timothy Lutz, Agency Director for the Tulare County Health & Human Services Agency. “We are coordinating and providing all means necessary to get the people of Tulare County vaccinated.”
The COVID Vaccine Call Center operated by Tulare County HHSA is available in English and Spanish, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Persons who call after hours can leave a voicemail with their contact information, and a Call Center representative will return their call. Again, to access this community program, call (559) 685-2260.

The first case of COVID-19 in Tulare County was identified on March 11, 2020. Since then, the Tulare County Health & Human Services Agency's Public Health Branch has been working closely with local partners, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
All residents should take the precautions listed in our frequently asked questions document. Social distancing measures should be followed closely and residents should only leave home for essential business. Stay home. Save lives.
One cannot determine if there is a risk of COVID-19 by judging a person’s nationality and appearance. The desire to do so is called discrimination and this type of stigma creates unwarranted fear and anger towards a group of people instead of directing those feelings at the disease that is causing the problem.
