Country Music News

    1) Security footage from the Dawg House in Nashville shows a Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission agent shoving Chris Young . . . rather than the other way around, as early reports made it seem. To be fair, Chris does put his hands on the guy first.  He puts an arm out to stop him as he's trying to get by Chris.

Young's attorney says, quote, "In light of the video evidence, Tennessee ABC needs to drop the charges and apologize for the physical, emotional and professional harm done towards my client."

If that doesn't happen, Young is due in court next month.

    WILL CHARGES BE DROPPED?

WILL THE CHARGES BE DROPPED? Many of you have been messaging me asking this question: Will the charges against country music artist Chris Young be dropped. This quesiton comes after video surfaced that raised questions about what exactly happened leading to his arrest earlier this week at a Nashville bar. Now Young's attorney is asking for an apology and for the charges to be dropped. By now most of us have seen the security video from the Dawg House Saloon Monday night. An agent with the Alcohol Beverage Commission claims Young struck him in the shoulder... so he pushed Young away knocking him to the floor. The video shows Young trying to stop the agent to ask a question, but does not appear to hit him. As things stand ... Young is still charged with assault of an officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. But sources tell me there is a very good chance these charges with be dropped before Young initial court hearing next month. Who will make that decision? Well, the Alcohol Beverage Commission could chose not to pursue the charges -- but I've heard nothing on that front. Ultimately, the call is for District Attorney Glenn Funk. I'm told his office is now reviewing the video and will interview the officers and other witnesses. These charges are misdemeanors and I'm told there is a good chance this case will be resolved before going to court. WHAT DO YOU THINK?
