Did Eminem Lip-Sync on SNL This Past Weekend?

He's Slim Shady, the REAL Slim Shady, all you other Slim Shady's are just imitating... BUT, as it turns out, the REAL Slim Shady MAY have been "imitating" himself recently. Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, aka Slim Shady admitted he sang (well... rapped) along with a previously recorded vocal track during his performance on Saturday Night Live this past weekend. Some of the biggest names in the business have been caught red-handed (err... red-lipped) lip-syncing this year alone, including Beyoncé and Lady Gaga. Does it matter?

The reasons are about as varied as the performers who do it. Sometimes artists lip-sync because they're scheduled to sing at a special outdoor event (like the Super Bowl) and weather conditions or the pressure of the venue could affect their vocal chords. Other times they do it because they have incredibly elaborate stage productions which makes singing live difficult... at best. The GOOD NEWS IS, very few country artists have been accused of doing or admit that they've done it.

Now maybe we're making a mountain out of mole hill. Perhaps most people really don't care if performances are LIVE or MEMOREX. Do you? Does it matter to you if singers lip-sync?
