A New Jersey appeals court has ruled that a person could have a legal duty to avoid texting someone while they're driving. Yeah... you read right! If this goes through and becomes the law of the land, if you text someone in The Garden State, and THEY'RE behind the wheel, you could be held liable if that person causes an accident. YOU!
Sending and receiving texts while driving has become a bit of an epidemic, resulting in more than ONE MILLION automobile accidents last year alone, but what ever happened to accountability and personal responsibility?
